Knitting Beyond the Basics

Are you ready to get beyond basic squares and rectangles of knitting? If so, sign up for the 2-hour Knitting Beyond the Basics class offered at the WIE for just $20! We will cover the fundamentals of lace, cabling, reading charts, and knitting in the round; if there is extra time, I will take requests for other skills, such as colorwork.

Materials: Please bring one (1) circular needle between 16″ to 24″ long, US sizes 6-8. None are available for purchase, so please make sure to bring your own. Please also bring a quantity of worsted weight, smoothly plied yarn (at least 50 grams). It will make it easier to see your stitches. You may find stitch markers helpful.

Product: Participants should expect to leave with new skills and depending on speed of knitting, may leave with a small sampler.
