Oct. 2: First Thursday Trunk Show
Featuring Micshelda Middleton and Maria High
The Exchange celebrated First Thursday and the beginning of Trunk Shows! The featured artists for the October 2 trunk show were
Micshelda Middleton and Maria High. Micshelda creates cards and artwork by hand, using various techniques from quilling to freehand drawing. Everyong enjoyed the cold cider and ginger snaps, and buying special items from Maria and Micshelda!
Women's History Month Celebration 2007
On Wednesday, March 12th, The Exchange held its first annual Women’s History Month Celebration. In cooperation with Suited to Succeed, the event featured amazing dishes from many of Baltimore’s most popular restaurants, a screening of The Exchange’s short documentary film, “Not A Lady Among Us” and amazing prizes ranging from a scenic lunch cruise to gorgeous jewelry. Featured speakers included City Council President Stephanie Rawlings Blake, as well as two women whose lives have been impacted by these two organizations. As hoped, the evening was a huge success. Over 150 guests attended, helping the Exchange to surpass its fundraising goals for the evening.
