Ever wanted to make your own yarn? Looking for a new hobby that is portable and calming? Want to take your knitting and crochet to another level?
Drop Spindle spinning is cheaper then buying a spinning wheel, and you can produce yarn that is just as unique, colorful, and customized to your needs. This method of creating yarn has been around since the middle ages or earlier in some cultures.

This 2 hour class will introduce beginners to fiber (animal, vegetable, and synthetic), a variety of spindle and the various benefits of each style, the wide range of fiber arts tools, as well as instruction to begin creating your own yarn.

Cost: $ 40.00 + $ 15.00 Material Fee

Shibori started in Japan and is known more for its tie dye quality. It is a dyeing technique that is used to resist dye. For example wooden blocks, nails, yarn or rubber bands can be used to prevent dye from coloring the material. Students will dye fabric, yarn and any pre-made works that they wish to dye using Pro MX dyes. Students will leave with an improved skill, knowledge of shibori, how to dye and will leave with a few pieces they can call works of art.

Workshop Narrative: Small Biz 101 provides a 60-minute overview of the rewards and demands of starting and operating a small business, including the risks, time commitment, steps to launching a successful business, etc. Learn more about entrepreneurship and WEB during this interact workshop.

Never touched a crochet hook before? Hoping to refresh your skills? The Hook Up will help you crochet like a pro!

This introductory series, teaches you the basics of crochet — picking the right yarn and hooks for your projects, basic stitches (including single, double and half-double crochet), and how to put them all together to create a rectangular motif.

Gain the skills to express your individual style with yarn and a crochet hook. Learn to create beautiful cloth (including the classic granny square), measuring gauge and reading a crochet pattern.
